Scholarship Program for the Port Safety Congress: AI and Port Safety
This program seeks to generate a significant impact on port safety by encouraging the development of innovative solutions based on AI. In addition, it will promote the incorporation of young talents and new technologies in the industry, strengthening risk prevention and response in port environments.
This grant system will not only allow for the dissemination of new ideas, but will also encourage the creation of practical solutions that benefit the entire port community.

Introduction
The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed multiple sectors, including port safety, optimizing risk detection, process automation, and emergency response. To promote innovation and the development of new solutions, the creation of a Scholarship System has been developed for attendance at the Port Safety Congress, aimed at port safety professionals.
This program seeks to encourage the development of innovative projects at the intersection between AI and port safety, offering financial support so that fellows can present their work and benefit from the experience of the congress.
Objectives of the Scholarship program
- To promote innovation in port safety through the use of AI.
- To promote the professional development of young talents and emerging experts.
- Facilitate access to the Port Safety Congress for those who present high-impact projects.
- Promote collaboration between industry, port authorities.
Participation requirements
Applicants for the scholarship must meet the following criteria. Candidate Profile:
- Professionals with less than 5 years of experience in port safety or AI.
- Researchers or entrepreneurs with projects in development phase.
Proposed project
It must address a current port safety problem and propose an AI-based solution. It can include areas such as:
- Threat detection using computer vision and sensors.
- Predictive analytics for fire and safety risks.
- Automating inspections with drones and smart robots.
- Cybersecurity management in port infrastructures.
- It must be supported by a technical document or working prototype.
Selection process
- Submission of a proposal of maximum 5 pages explaining the problem, the AI-based solution and its feasibility.
- Evaluation by a Technical Committee of experts in AI and Port Safety, composed of:
